Anyone going to UCSB who's (1) from the bay area, (2) a minority, or (3) going for an interest-floor?

1) from south bay 2) jewish does that count? 3) transfer living floor

southbay 2. asian 3. Transfer floor

I am not positive i will be going to sb, but i'm leaning towards it..

Maybe I'll see you calicurls

1.) SF 2.) Asian 3.) Asian cultural floor

1). San Diego 2). nope 3). Transfer

1) Los Angeles 2) asian 3) Performing & Creative Arts

San Jose

Asian

Maybe the asian floor

Los Angeles

white/asian - does that count?

probably finding a roommate off campus. Transfer dorms would be nice if they weren't so expensive.

Sry to break the pattern, but how do you request where to live in? I am transferring to UCSB and not sure where I'm going to end up in. Turned in my app but there are no specifications to where I'm going live other than my preference in apartment or dorm.

there is a specification on the application. Some transfers may want to look into off campus housing. Right now i am looking at an option for $530 shared room starting this june through the entire summer or 07-08 school year in a 1 bedroom apartment a block and half away from campus in IV. That is only $6360 not including food of course.

Any transfers students want to have a college confidential forum meet. I would be interested considering i would be living off campus, but will be participating in transitions

cool karupt, i'm the same as you.

sweet, maybe i'll see you on the asian floor if I get into that floor.

lol, maybe we'd end up as roomates who knows.

what high school u go to pwong?

karupt - i hope i get that floor too, IF i decide to go here. how often do you plan on coming home if you go to ucsb. oh, i go to mercy, and not too proud of it either. where you go?

yea mylifeisover we could end up as roomies haha

If I do go to SB (which I probably will), I'll probably come home about once a month. What's wrong with mercy? I go to Lincoln High which is about like 3 minutes drive away from mercy.

oh btw, I'm a guy

mainly cus it's all girls, but since you're a guy, you probably see it as a plus. and mercy always had a bad name - hoes, cows, whatever. but i think after 4 years of the school, i deal with everything else and it's okay.... when you go back home, you plan on driving? what other schools are you deciding between/among if not sb?

lincoln, you know kathy or irene? if so, tell them i said hi! lol

I do see it as a plus. :)

I might drive home, I'm trying to convince my dad to let me drive the first year, but I'm not sure yet. Right now, I'm waiting for my appeals to UCD or UCI, but other than that I'm probably going to end up in SB.

Do you mean Kathy Ma?

no, kathy lee. if you're really into ucd or uci, do you plan on doing that inter-campus transfer program thing? i kinda want to for ucd, but it seems to much work and all. and i don't even know what major to declare for it.

Oh, tt's girlfriend. I don't know her but I know her boyfriend.

No, I'm not going to do inter-campus transfer. If I don't get into UCD or UCI for appeals, than I'll just be attending SB for the next 4 years.

What schools are you deciding on other than sb?

i'm thinking of ucsc or city with transfer to ucd, but going away to either sc or sb will at least give me the college experience. ucsc is a lower rank, and more calculus&physics classes have to be taken in order to get a BA in bio, compared to ucsb. and there's a whole lot of other pluses & minuses of each. got 3 days left!!
