Whoops, didn’t see post #16. Novafan pretty much answered what you need. If you’re looking for an intro coding class, CS 2500 truly does start from the bottom, assuming you know nothing. It will ramp up quick and will have the work of a CS class, but it’s not for majors only by any means. I know many people who take it just for a CS intro, some business students included.
CS 2500 is definitely intended to work for non-majors as well, but it is the type of class that requires the sort of logical reasoning skills that make one good at math. One problem we sometimes see is business students taking the class thinking it’ll be an easy intro class, but struggle because they’re not used to that form of critical thinking. However, if you’re the type of student who is interested in taking upper level math courses, that wouldn’t be an issue.
