Although believe it or not I am still tossing over a few schools, including 2 I think I might get in off the waitlist to.........I am not sure as of this writing! I did however apply to the Collins dorm........and was wondering if anyone else is planning to go into that dorm? Indiana really has such great things said about it, thats the reason I continue to go back and forth. Let me know if any of you are future Collinsgoers!

heh wow kelleyconn1 we wouldve been collinsgoers, i was accepted into collins LLC but at the last minute, i decided to switch to central neighborhoorhood academic community :) but what ive learned from it (i have done extensive research on the collins llc and i am proud to say phd.com has awarded me a phd in useless crap from ________(insert you're local crappy college here)) is that it is a dorm filled with kids who are artsy and unique (no not gay but you know what i mean) im assuming they are not the kids who join fraternities and go hazing. there are all kinds of people there of course like any residence hall like business majors, liberal arts and science majors but im just tellin you what ive learned from lookin at the various sites regarding collins. i even got an email from a collins resident who was a business major telling me about collins ( if you want a students perspective of collins, you gota ask the collins director to have a collins student give you their experience)

i got in and i am thinking about it. my first choice was a performing arts community, which i have yet to hear from. but my mom is pushing me to do the residence scholars (which are singles).

so...it's collins, which is more interesting and fun-sounding but more expensive,
or
residence scholars, which sounds slightly dull but is much cheaper and i'm sure i'd find fun stuff to do anyway
or
perf. arts comm. (which i don't know if i'll get in to), which sounds fun but slightly dramatic and is just as much as collins i think.

then there was another, i think forest co-op where i would also have lower cost but it would be doubles. and forest is close to music.

anyone have suggestions on how to decide?

how do you know which dorm you were assigned to....did they send a package, letter or email or check online.

and around when do the responses get out.
thanks

dcho, how would i get to speak to someone first hand about collins, someone who might already be there? i would really like to speak to someone already there, can you let me know or you could private message me, thanks alot!!

about which dorm you are in and who you're roommate is, you get all that info. during the summer :)

and email the collins director and tell her you are interested about collins and would like a student to email you, here is the link: http://www.indiana.edu/%7Ellc/?pageId=11, you shud email the assistant director cuz that is who contacted me when i asked questions.
