Does NYU send out decisions by random waves? I'm really anxious because people I know who applied to NYU in my school have received their acceptance letters already and I haven't. I hope these waves aren't by location or anything...

i got the invite and it says I got in!
its kinda an odd envelope, it says "congrats...join us...." like an odd thing. I thought it was like a congrats on applying, i didnt think anything would come 2 weeks before the deadline for knowing about acceptances, but im in!

Mystiquekami, these aren't official decision letters. They are invitations that notify some people that they are going to receive an acceptance letter on April 1st. Yet, everyone will receive a decision letter by April 1st.

I know but some of my friends have received the entire acceptance package already...

Stern! Any ideas when BPE applicants will be notified?

maan... i still havent received anything in the mail, im hoping for (tish drama) but still nothing, and look at what week were on .. =[

don't lose all hope yet katecisco im also waiting to hear from tisch i spoke to them today and they said they'll be sending more invites next week and if they dont have enough time they may even use emailing as a last resort. im in the same boat as you but dont lose hope! they may not have sent out another "batch" yet. but they said they still are sending.. what state are you in?

Apparently, NYU sent the invites to kids from my school who were accepted so as to arrive last Saturday. I was not home Saturday. When I heard that a girl who got into Stern got her invitation to the Accepted Students Day on Saturday, I was mad. I asked my mom if anything had come specifically from NYU specifically on Saturday; but to no avail. I figured the mail might reach me Tuesday or so. So I waited... Nothing... Just when I had given up hope regarding Stern, I woke up in a haze around 3:30 AM today. I had passed out while watching college basketball. Tucked underneath my bedroom door is an envelope containing a likely letter/invite. I woke my mom up and surely enough, she found it in Saturday's mail just before she was throwing it out.

So, if you are still waiting, DO NOT GIVE UP.

You guys! I'm living vicariously through you -- as I read your posts, I'm nervous and excited with you! I (as a transfer applicant) won't find out until the end of April to mid-May!

I wish ALLL of you luck and DON'Thog up all the financial aid!

By the way, to all Gallatin applicants... I got the postcard on Monday. I live in New York, right outside the city.

Congratulations to everyone that has been accepeted, and I hope everyone else gets in and I wish them the best of luck.

i got the little invitation several days ago. it's nice i guess..

good luck to those who haven't heard back yet. i know the feeling :(

Got mine yesterday.

It was like "HOLY AWWWEEESSSOMMMEEEE", and then it wore off in two seconds.

Congrats to everyone.

I asked in another thread when you got yours No2EULA but i see yesterday.. what state are you in. congrats:)

what does the likely letter look like? because I vaguely recall a big white envelope that says Join Us! on the front, but I threw it away because I thought it was generic promotional stuff D: I also remember getting some letter about my admission letter to CAS is on its way in the coming weeks, but when I read it I was like...pfft.. you mean my rejection to CAS.. and tossed it aside :/.. I'm so dumb..

@wuguimei: the likely letter is a parchment colored squarish/rectangle envelope and on the front it says "Congratulations, Join Us!." and it very well does say "Congratulations! I am very pleaesd to inform you that your offer of admission letter to New York University's (whichever school you applied) is on its way to you. haha so you probably did toss it but no worries you'll get the official acceptance in a few days.
