Anyone have the AICE program at their school?

What classes have you taken? Which exams have you done well on? What do you think about tying our papers with string? I received my diploma before the start of my junior (current) year and was curious about the experiences of others.

I just started my goal of AICE Diploma. taking 3 this year and 4 next year,
Aice general paper, euro history, psych this year
thinking skills, ush, eng lang and chem next year
any tips/ experience with these?

I took G.P. and Thinking Skills as a freshman. G.P. was a great class-I did have an amazing teacher- and really prepares you to write very well organized essays in a mature way. Exam was easy. Thinking skills was more difficult, I thought. If you’re really good with brainteasers and the like, unlike me, you have an advantage. The other half is argument-based; you must analyze evidence, reliability, etc. I took AICE Eng/Lang last year, and that was also easy. Large focus on elements of writing, like parts of speech. As far as tips go: I personally think AICE classes are relatively easy in comparison to AP. The three we have (had) in common had light workloads, but I guess that would depend on your teacher and school. Just handle them like you would any other class, and you should be fine.

AICE classes at my school are harder than AP, well at least AICE Psych is, AICE Chem, Aice Euro etc.
Classes like Aice Marine are taken by seniors because its so easy.
But my psych teacher told me the exam is like all writing, so basically no MC,
just Free Response + Essays?

There is little multiple choice, in general, as far as the exams go. There were multiple choice for AICE Bio and part of the AICE Thinking Skills exam. The rest of them are primarily free response and essay based.

At my school most AICE classes are easier than the equivalent AP class, in that it’s easier to get an A in an AICE class than an AP class. I only took 4 AICE classes: AICE General Paper, AICE Thinking Skills, AICE Sociology, and AICE English Language. My scores for that were A, A, B, A. I also sat for two AICE exams without taking the class, AICE Math in freshman year and AICE Bio last year. I got a B and C on those, respectively. That qualified me for an AICE Diploma with distinction before the start of my junior year

AICE Math was probably the hardest class I have ever taken… I applaud you for earning a B, which is essentially an A by American standards.

B on AICE Math in freshman year? This makes me want to cry
