Transcripts were due sometime back in February. My application still says "Complete. Reason: Application Received". I'm a transfer student from outside of their local area. On one of college transcripts it has a green check mark, but the other college still has a red "x". Anyone in the same situation or has been accepted or rejected yet as a transfer?

The KEYWORD in this post is “CSU”, but this forum is for UC Transfers. Are you transfering from CSUSM -> UC?

UC San Marcos?

Haha I used to live about 1/4 mile from CSUSM. I wasn’t aware people transferred there from out of the area. It’s like the de-facto continuation school for most Palomar (the CC that’s about 2 miles away from CSUSM) students.

I have some friends who applied there and none of them have heard back yet.

^Ditto the off topic comments. But you guys just can’t let this thread die can you? It starts to make its way down the front page and someone always bumps…

Well, I’m justified in the fact it was already near the top when I posted this. :P

I felt sympathetic. Won’t kill anyone to have a CSU thread here.

The denied/cancelled red X mark isn’t there anymore on MyCSUSM - is that supposed to mean anything? Because now there is only the incomplete yellow triangle, complete green circle and the admitted green check mark…

I just checked on mine and the same thing happened hopefully its a good sign

Oh really? I hope so because that is my first choice school. What is your GPA if you don’t mind me asking? And are you a California resident? I wonder if the same thing happened to everybody else, or just those who are going to be admitted.

my GPA is kinda low, its a 2.5 but I am a california resident and did attend a community college here in sd

whats your GPA and major and did you apply to other schools?

Hmm, I’m a California resident as well and am a attending a community college here in San Diego also, but I’m not in the local area unfortunately. My GPA is 3.167 and my major is Sociology - what’s your major? To anyone else who applied to CSUSM: can you reply with your GPA, major, and if the red X mark went away for you as well? Please and thank you!

Cool, I’m a Sociology major too.

Unless CSUSM has massively cranked up admissions standards in recent years, a 3.167 should be fine.

The only thing I’m worried about is the fact that my transcript wasn’t received until 6 days after the due date, so now my whole application is incomplete. -_- What sucks is that my school is the one who screwed up yet I have to pay for the consequences. Well, hopefully not if I do get admitted:D

OH wow how did that happened ? I drove up to csusm to turn mine in, in person didn’t want to risk it especially since i waited till the last day

Roseyourboat:
I have the exact same thing as you. I’m anxious to see their decision

Sent from my Desire HD using CC

Username92:
I have the same thing no red x.
My gpa was a 2.8 but it went up to a 3.0 from winter but they aren’t aware of that.
My major is communications.
And I’m not from the area either.

It’s kind of a long story, but long story short the person who sent out my transcript didn’t do their job correctly and it took a whole week for my transcript to be received at CSUSM from San Diego. -_- I’ve sent out letters to people in Oceanside and it takes no more than two days, but apparently my “Immediate” and “Rush” transcript wasn’t sent out accordingly and I missed the deadline. Do you guys think the red X is gone for everybody or just those admitted? Does anybody else have a 2012-2013 financial aid award that is not available as well? I’m also very anxious! Haha
