<p>It depends whether youre accepted, or if you’re priority waitlisted. If you’re waitlisted, they can tell you whenever they want to. If youre accepted, its usually around now that they start the calls. The calls are usually at nighttime due to the fact that the faculty are working until late.</p>
<p>I didn’t need to pick my son off of the floor - more like the ceiling. He is in for MT at Carnegie! Got a call tonight. We huged and cried. Over all we came to the conclusion that this is a strange world he is entering. And a strange process he has been through. He is “good enough” for CMU - not quite “good enough” for some others, some schools think he is an “actor”, some MT one liked his dance best. In the end he is who he is, he fit where he fit and now he gets to take the opportunity that college offers and run with it.</p>
<p>Social…way to go for your son! The ceiling is more fun than the floor, LOL! It is a crazy process for sure where a kid can be denied at X BFA program and accepted at one like CMU. Happens a lot. Enjoy this exciting moment!</p>

<p>I don’t see how you all know exactly the number who were called. Yes, people are reporting on CC or on FB but NOT everyone does that. So, you can count the number who post on these public sites but they do not necessarily represent all who have heard from CMU. Just saying.</p>
<p>But hey, it gives us a little hope. Even if it’s false.</p>
<p>Oh, definitely keep hope alive. That’s not what I meant. But it seems like people are stating as fact how many have been called and how many slots are still open and I don’t think the “headcount” on public forums is accurate. I’m not saying all the people have been called as I have no clue. Just saying that public posts on forums are not the full picture.</p>
<p>they’re accepting 12 kids, not 10 kids this year…and apparently calls trickled out over a couple days last year…i think tomorrow might be the last day unless gary called everyone tonight.</p>
<p>Just out of curiosity (especially for those accepted already): On your Where Am I in the Process, there is a section that says “Admissions Documents Received” and then under that it says Admissions Committee Completed and it is dated. What is the date on everyone’s? I’m curious to see if those accepted have an earlier or later date. It probably doesn’t mean anything, just curious.</p>
