Mines dated Feb 22nd…

mine is dated March 9th

@mhill975 and @bcbMTfl, mine says admissions commitee completed march 4, and application complete march 9. it also registers a mid year grade report. do you also have both of those things or does yours not say application complete?
i doubt this means anything at all, but hey… its distracting me :)

Mine just says the admissions committee complete one. I am a transfer so I don’t have a midyear grade report, but that is just something they request from your high school to see your progress. The last audition was March 6th which was the make-up audition for those that couldn’t make the weekend prior because of the snow. I just find it interesting that decisions were made on some people before auditions were finished, but I guess they have to start deciding at some point.

Here is what mine says : since you asked… These ar the last 5 updates.

22-feb-2010 Admission Committee Completed
08-feb-2010 Midyear Grade Report
23-dec-2009 Folder Pulled committee read
11-dec-2009 Admission Score Report Form
10-dec-2009 Application Complete

My daughters has “application complete” back in November, then “folder pulled”, “transcript received” etc., since then - but NO admissions completed line. Any one else’s look like that?

mommyofthree, my application also has no application committee completed section.

PRETTY sure all calls have been made! I think it’s time we all move on! I am sure each of you have very great options out there! Realize that CMU is so difficult to get in that no matter how AMAZING and talented you are, you have no hand in it since it really comes down to type. I still adore the CMU faculty I met, loved my audition experience, and wished just a little I might have gotten in, but in the end am aware that it may have not been meant to be as much as I led myself to believe it was! I have some good options and will run with them! I read TOO much into my audition that went really well, and this is a lesson for us all in the real world to NEVER expect anything no matter how RIGHT and PERFECT a role might seem for us!

It is ok to feel disappointed and have a good cry about it like I did, but we should not wallow on about it this long! Spare yourselves the agony and sadness and just accept that it probably is not going to happen…we should have just done that at the beginning…THIS is not the end to your future! CMU has a great program and offers exactly what I really want, but now wherever I end up I will make the most of it to get the solid acting training with MT as well to mold it into something similar to what I liked about the CMU curriculum. AND I know I will LOVE wherever I end up. Didn’t Barbara tell an auditionee that it’s the student, not the school, that makes the performer and their experience there? We really need to take that piece of advice to heart! She is a wonderful woman and is SO right!! We shouldn’t let one school deter us and put our hopes up on any ONE program, ESPECIALLY the one that seems to get the most kids to audition every year!

And THANK YOU to CarnegieMT2012! You have been a wonderful source of info and if I am correct, I believe you were the CMU student I was in contact with through fb this year! I will regret not being able to attend the same program as someone so welcoming, sweet, and helpful as you, but I know all the kids who WILL go to your school…especially one of my friends who I am SURE will be coming…will be very happy that they have such a caring and helpful person in their midsts!

04-mar-2010 Admission Committee Completed
01-dec-2009 Application Complete

There are my dates, I don’t think it means anything but as long as it gives me something to do besides twiddle my thumbs and wait for a letter… :)

Mine’s dated March 10.

Does anyone know for sure if everyone has been called? Or is it all just speculation?

Agreed CCer2014. If you think about it, there is a 98.8% chance you’ll be rejected. So rejection should really not be a surprise. Although the prospect of being on the priority wait list, if anything-for the bragging rights at this point, is astonishing, that too is also unlikely. I’m sorry, but I agree, lets move on, I am… unfortunately…

CCer2014, I am glad that I can be of help to you and to everyone else who stumbles upon this board. I take a lot of pride in my school and program, and want to share the wonderful experiences and information that I have to any incoming students. That being said, have you friend get into contact with me, and I would love to help them. And to you, I hope you get into a wonderful school (which i’m sure you have ), and have a fantastic 4 years at school!

Our records show folder was pulled and committee read. That is all, no message of completion. Could it be with the volume it was just not entered?

For everyone who has cried it out, there is the last hope of making the Priority Wait List which won’t come out until around April 1st. That is a very small group as well. Very small.
My child’s file has had no movement…no commitee review or decision. No dates at all.
So decisions are still being made, even if the first round went out. Don’t forget that some accepted students do turn down CMU because they know that they are a better fit elsewhere. Hope this helps anyone hanging on!

The year my kid applied, she got the Priority Waitlist letter in the mail from CMU that was dated March 29 (I don’t know exactly which day it arrived, but it was shortly afterward). At the time, there was nothing marked on her status online, even though people with acceptances and rejections had their statuses updated by that point. I recall waiting and wondering why nothing on hers. The financial aid letter was dated April 1 and postmarked April 2. While this was another year, my feeling is that CMU does it in a similar way year to year.

bywaymom & SeeingStars…do your files still not have any completion information? I understand letters are supposed to go out today, and as of now my D’s still doesn’t have a admissions committee complete date, the last item is her mid-year transcript being received in Jan. I’m just wondering if there is a point I should call and check on it…?

And wow, things are sure quiet as we all wait for these last schools to be in touch aren’t they?!?!

My status reads
18-mar-2010 Admission Committee Completed

Wonder when they decide???

The only completion info refers to the application itself, meaning test scores etc. It only states the committee pulled file and read it back in December. She auditioned in January. At this point I do feel it is safe to say she did not get in. It was a long shot with the odds. I do wish the schools would inform everyone at the same time, like “Match Day” in medical school. It would at least take some of the anxiety out. She is still waiting to hear from two schools before she can make any decisions. Good Luck

Ours doesn’t have the Admission Committee Complete either. The last entry is back in Dec with Folder Pulled committee read. She auditioned at Unifieds and there’s been no update to the online listing since December. I don’t believe our D had mid-year grades sent that’s mentioned above. Did everyone else send them?

bwaymom21- so if it says the whole admission committee complete thing, you’re probably not in? Or what are you saying?
