I just figured out I'll probably have to do all my shopping and crap when I get back to campus...meh. Anyone have any clue how much a taxi is or if they offer shuttles there?

Don't know if they offer a shuttle to the mall, but they do offer a shuttle to Goucher, which I believe is in walking distance of the mall.

The CollegeTown shuttle (the same one that goes to Goucher, Notre Dame, MICA and the Harbor) goes to the Towson Town Center (the mall) on Thursday-Sunday. It doesn't go to Towson Place, where the Target/Walmart/Superfresh/Bed, Bath and Beyond are. I think the northbound pickup is 33rd and Charles; southbound is at the MSE

w00t thanks...is there a place on jhu's website with the shuttle bus schedule?

jhu.dailyjolt.com has pretty much everything you need in terms of transportation.

a lot of people just ride to towson town place and take a taxi from there, or even walk. the fall weather is great!

can't wait to see you again "asdf" ;)

Sweetness...thanks everyone! BTW, I have to go to the med center on Sept. 6th (day before classes) for an internship. Will the JHMI shuttle be running on normal schedule?

Hope to see you too next year, "Spikedsoymilk" ;P

I think the schedule Daniel posted is for the summer and the fall (with the new pickup location at the IFC), so it should be running normally. Call Security (x6-4600) if you want to make sure

I'm pretty sure the CollTown shuttle isn't running right now - it stopped running in May and won't usually pick up again till after Labor Day.

You can take the #11 MTA bus from Charles Street (right in front of the library) to Towson Town mall, though. Just get on one marked "Goucher College," it stops at the mall and right in front of Barnes & Noble. You could also take the # 8 from Greenmount (scary, I know), which goes up York and (I think) out toward WalMart/Target.

Haha.. I ended up taking the #3 with some friends back from the mall because the last Collegetown shuttle only had room for 20 people and there were at least 40 waiting to get on. (The two cab companies that pickup from Hopkins that we had numbers for refused to pickup in Towson and the cab companies the operator connected us to never answered) I knew the #3 went somewhere near campus, so we just ran and got on and it was an experience, to say the least. The #3 takes probably the most indirect route to the Harbor, so we were on the bus for a good 45 minutes with absolutely no idea where the bus was going.

(BTW.. Michelle's right - the shuttle isn't running till Aug 28th)
