<p>yeah phoniex2008, CC participation and acceptance rates seem correlated . . .
not sure if it's a cause (hearing good admissions advice helps acceptance), or effect (you were smart enough to come here, you were smart enought to get in) or a little of both . . . (you were smart to come here, but CC helps polish your application so you get in)</p>

<p>EC's: SGA VP. Phi Theta Kappa President, Speech honor society President, Student Ambassadors, Student Activities Board, Republican Party (town committeeperson)</p>
<p>WORK: Law Firm, Town Supervisors office (both part time, not worked at same time)</p>
<p>Awards: All-NY Academic Second Team, SUNY Chancellors award (statewide award), Beacon Conference winner (regional award), Outstanding Student service award (school award, 2x), Phi Sigma Omicron (school honor society)</p>
<p>HS: Similar awards and EC's, 3.75 GPA</p>
<p>OTHER: accepted to and briefly attended West Point, great recs, and (apparantly) great essays</p>
