When can I expect to hear back from Harvard/Yale/Stanford?

When can I expect to hear back from Harvard/Yale/Stanford?

I applied on the deadline for all of them. When did admitted people hear back last year (and what was the earliest time)? When did rejected applications hear back?

Ivies report decisions for RD (except likely letters, which have gone /are going now, on March 31

Transfers get their letter's mid to end May.

You will probably get your Stanford letter first, then Yale and lastly Harvard. That's my guess. (best for last. :p)

Do you need to submit second semester grades immediately?

Also, has anybody else gotten access codes for checking the website? Do they give those to transfers?

Not until after you are admitted...which is a bummer.

Yale doesn't give an application ID. They will just call if there is something missing.

I'm pretty sure the same thing goes for Stanford (not positive though).

Harvard gives out application ID's. No one has received them yet though, so you'd have to request it. That's what I did.

DeterminaateLaw, are you a regular poster here? what're your stats? are you an older student?

Hey, I don't want to disclose too many details about myself, because I'm afraid of losing my positions at some of the student organizations I'm in and because I don't want people at my school to find out that I tried to transfer and failed, but I will say that I'm at a lower-ivy (not Penn or Cornell), I have a 4.0, and I'm deeply invested in two extra-curricular activities that I have achieved things in. I will post more in about a month, because I'm curious about my chances.

Oh, and thanks for the information about when I'll hear back from schools. For some reason I thought I would have to wait until August.
