I think I need to take this exam because I am going to be a biology major. It said that all science majors must take this exam. The problem is that it doesn't say where will one this this math placement exam at. Please help me! Thanks.

I think it’s held at UCR during May or June.

At UCR and at these locations i believe [Placement and Advisory Examinations](http://www.placementtest.ucr.edu/mae/dates_times4.html)

you can take the math placement or any other placement test during bear facts orientation during the summer.

The problem with taking the MAE during Orientation is that the UCR class schedulers probably will not have the test results until after the Orientation is finished. In which case the class schedulers may not be able to establish a complete set of fall classes for you during Orientation. Bottom line, assuming you are in a major which requires the MAE, you need the test results before a complete fall class schedule can be established. The longer you wait to make your final schedule, the more classes fill up and the less choices you may end up with. For those in doubt, I suggest you call the department for your major and ask about the timing for the MAE and what it means to you.
