I know everyone is gonna have an individual or a bias perspective about each school. I'm pretty sure you learn the same things, but in terms of opportunities (like hook ups with the industry) which school is stronger?

I feel USC since major filmmakers like George Lucas graduated from that school and he as well as other people of the industry go there to give presentations. But idk since I dont go to those school (wont be going to UCLA till the fall)

I don’t know too much, but I did the film tour at UCLA because I’m interested in the minor. Both are def top programs in the world. I believe UCLA’s undergrad Film program is harded to get into. I think they have different focuses, something like USC is better for large blockbuster films. I also heard USC owns the rights to all student work so ask about this. UCLA allows the student to own the rights to their own work.

Lol, george lucas didn’t graduate from USC; iirc, he got rejected from their program three times. He got his degree from calstate longbeach iirc. However, he loves the crap out of their film program for some reason, and donated like 150m to their film department, so it’s world class.

They probably have the best film program of any school in the country. I think NYU is #2, and UCLA is #3, but i’m not a film major, so i don’t keep up.
