About more than one month ago, I submitted 2 questions to UMN, and got the answers in only a day. This time it was really urgent, and I asked them last week, but all I've got from them is the message requiring information for identity verification! I've submitted it again and yet no reply. I feel like I was seemingly welcome at first and then pushed aside when they already got what they wanted - the application.
Did anyone experience this? Please tell me that I didn't make the wrong decision to apply to UMN :(

^ I imagine it’s much busier in the applications dept. now, maybe it’s that. Try not to read too much into it - though I can see where you’re coming. I agree though, DS got all kinds of info earlier, now since he has had his Golden Gopher app. in (since Sept.) he’s heard not a thing. Intentional or not makes you feel somewhat used. Even more so when you see later or lower stats apps. accepted earlier.

Are you asking them questions that you could answer yourself with a little investigation on their web site?

I’m guessing with so many applications coming in, things must be very hectic in getting them all done. I wish I knew more about the process that each application goes through. Do each go past the desk of the guidance counselor for a specific region? Anyone who knows this process without just speculating?

My son applied a while back to the CBS and we haven’t heard a thing and the status doesn’t change at all on the site. He’s waiting for a couple other schools that he applied late to but all the others he applied to he has already been accepted to. It’s hard to get motivated when his final two (Minnesota and Wisconsin) are still in limbo.

Thanks for any comments in advance.

only comments are DS is in the same boat - has all but two acceptances, and like I said above, others with lower stats have already heard. No status change, applied to CSE.
Definitely contributes to his lowered enthusiasm for Minn. Was hoping to have this all sewn up early, that’s why applied early!

@Denquist: Of course not.

I’ve got their reply, and they apologized to me for taking it so long. Thanks God! What a relief! :)

why don’t you just call?
less than 30 minutes.
