I’m thinking about it. Not sure if my circumstances are enough but I’m thinking maybe it’s worth a shot. Cal Poly isn’t really my number one but I would’ve liked the option. I’m just curious to see if anyone else out there wants to try to reverse their decision and maybe what their reasoning is.

I am because my IB test scores from high school weren’t represented in my application. I didn’t realize it until Sac State called me and asked why I was applying with so few units! But by that time it was too late to change my CalPoly app.
I’m going off the basis that I didn’t have my GE completed. The admission counselor told me to appeal when I explained my situation.

I think if you were passionate and wanted seriously to go, then appealing makes sense. But, if this isn’t your first choice, then don’t. You are wasting your time and that of the school’s, not to mention taking a space up which could be occupied by someone who is dying to go. You should also consider how competitive the major is that you applied to. Prior threads have discussed majors which had over a thousand applicants for 60 spaces.

the only time I heard appeals get accepted are called hardship petitions which u can only get if you have a perm residence in the area (went to a local high school and lived in area for while) and have a hardship and have everything completed from your CC.
