Has anyone gotten the acceptance package sent through the mail yet? Do you think they’ll start showing up in tomorrows mail?

S got his Saturday April 3rd. we live in DC…

Son received his on Saturday, April 3. We live in Maine.

What all does it contain? Does it have the Brown T-shirt?

Son got his on Saturday as well. It contains the acceptance letter and a folder with information about “A Day on College Hill”, accepted students day. No T-shirt, but there was a Brown sticker.

@TaDah: Thanks a lot! Wish there was the Class of 2014 T-Shirt, though!

My son’s acceptance letter was highly personalized, and made reference to both his common application and supplemental essays. He’s been accepted to Stanford (with an interest in studying theoretical physics), but this effort by Brown definitely got our attention. Did anyone else get a similarly-tailored letter?

tspider–same here. It certainly impressed me.

My daughter is choosing between Chicago and Brown for a similar major–astrophysics. Has he or you gotten any insights into physics at Brown?

It seems like about half the people from my year got a personalized letter. I didn’t, but the other person from my school accepted here did. I’m not sure what motivates them to write or not to write letters, but I realize there’s a lot of people accepted, and not all that many admissions officers.

Mine was personalized, and it almost brought me to tears. They quoted parts of my essays.

Quick question – was the letter you received in the mail identical to the one on Brown’s online decision?

Slightly curious :)

No, the mail letter was different from the online letter.

Mine wasn’t as personalized as djdopeslap’s or tspider’s son’s, but it was still personalized. It made reference to my extracurricular activities at my high school and one of my essays. I was certainly impressed and excited. :)

Ooh, exciting! (hopefully)

It’s taking foreverrrr :(! Being half a globe away from Brown sucks! ;(

Oh, I’ve heard of a summer reading book that Brown is going to send to admitted freshmen in June as well. :D

Do you know the title of the book?

@devlos: I so feel you! I live in Iceland, and we’ve had four holidays since results were out, so the letter still hasn’t come! :(

got it today. More detail about PLME.
