Nothing yet =/

Accepted. Envelope was the regular Priority Mail one they give out at the post office. No merit awards.

Accepted, ~$20,000 in money awarded.

Well, I'm proud of my son for having been accepted to every school he has applied to... and ashamed of myself for not being able to afford to send him to any of them... well, save a few public schools he'll be choosing from.

did anyone get need based financial aid yet, or is that supposed to come separately?

Waitlisted...

Southerncharm... yes finaid comes with it not separately... I ended up getting more than I expected YAY VANDY!

funny, i didn't get any finaid in my package. i guess i have to call Vandy tomorrow...

i didn't get my financial aid either =/

Was merit scholarship information included in anyone's acceptance package? It sounds like many people received financial aid information - but what about merit?

i applied for both financial aid and merit scholarships, didn't hear anything about either. and i got aid from other schools, so I think vandy would give me aid too, right?

i'm from NJ btw, but idk how thats relevant

dukles... I applied for merit and need based aid. As far as I know I didn't receive any merit, but I received a merit sized need based grant amount (about 30k)...

Ok a few brief questions. Not to hijack the thread or anything but
1. We're all the decisions sent out at once? If not...
2. Does that mean if I hear from them tomorrow I should expect a rejection letter?
I'm not sure how long of a wait it is from NYC

Bump? Anyone not get thier decision yet?

What's the story on NMF money ? I came across a web page which said they offered a 'minimum' of $5,000 annually for those indicating VU as first choice school. Anyone have any idea what the implications of 'minimum' are? My son managed to not apply for merit scholarships... so all he's seeing thus far is need based aid (substantial, but still leaving a sizeable gap in our needs)... so this NMF money may be his only hope.

National Merit and National Achievement Scholarships are awarded to students designated as finalists by the National Merit Corporation. Finalists who indicate Vanderbilt as their first choice school will receive a minimum of $5,000 per year in merit scholarships from all sources. If a National Merit finalist receives another Vanderbilt merit scholarship that exceeds the $5,000 minimum guarantee, they will still receive a National Merit award of $2,000 above and beyond the amount of any other scholarship.
