I am hoping I don't have to do my regular decision apps, but there is such a high chance of being deferred at P'ton that I know I should start sometime.

Is anyone else kind of procrastinating on their RD apps in the hope of being accepted at P'ton?

lol and i also dont wanna pay like 1k in app fees.

Yup...totally procrastinating!! And I'm definitely going to wait until after ED decisions come out to send in my other apps...so on the off-chance that I get into Pton I can save a nice bundle!

Well, I'll start working on them from thursday on - or lets say sunday.

Gonna write the essays, fill in the forms etc. If I get deferred or rejected (hey that's possible as well), I'll send 'em off - if not, I won't have paid for anything except maybe a bunch of paper ;)

I'm in the happy position to be German - which means, if I don't find a nice university in the US or UK, I'll study at home. Thus - no safties for me. In Germany, I'll have to send in like 1 page without any essays or so, just my "GPA" and this has time until July (?).

Safes me a lot of work and stress, you guys might have.

The only one I'm sending in is the Stanford application because it's due on November 15th (nice timing...) but I am definitely procrastinating on the rest. saves money and possibly effort. But also possibly wasting $75 on Stanford though.

That's probably what he meant, since the "nice timing" thing kind of only applies if it's the same day that Pton decisions come out!
Oh, and get this...I don't know if any of you are applying to Middlebury, but their pre-app, which includes the long essay and app fee ($65) is due on Dec 15. How annoying is that?!

lol again with the INABILITY TO DISCERN SARCASM!!!

lol i will admit that my former post is a bit ambiguous in the level of sarcasm, but i guess i will have to include a "haha" "lol" or a smiley face just to make sure ppl get it.

but i live in NJ, and last year all of NJ (best state in academics) sent only 19 kids to Stanford.(but keep in mind that most Eastern applicants choose Ivies over stanford.
