Anyone taken UCLA Extension courses?

I am thinking about taking a Spanish 3 course from UCLA extension in order to fulfill UCI's foreign language requirement and earn units to transfer to UCLA in the event that I am accepted.

Anyone have any experiences with these courses and their difficulty? I'm thinking of probably taking this course pass/no pass.

I’m sure Shannon will be dropping by here sometime today and she can, I believe, shed some light on this subject. She took some classes with Cal’s Extension.

^^^yes, but math is very different from Spanish.

OP- Is this class go at your own pace? If it is, it should be pretty easy, simply because you will have all the time you want to learn each concept.

if you are so worried about the difficulty, why don’t you just take Spanish 1 or 2?

I am taking a Political Science class at UCLA Extension this quarter. It’s 120B World Politics and Foreign Policy after 9/11. This class counts for the PoliSci major so it is a bit difficult. We have about 5 different foreign policy books to read including some extra books for our projects. I imagine that even a Spanish course is considerably more difficult than your average community college class. The math classes, from what I have heard, are also very challenging. The professors chosen for the extension program must go through the same process and must have the same credentials to be a professor at UCLA, so they are all very experienced in their fields. Also, keep in mind that it is a quarter class so there is a bigger work load than a semester class.
