Anyone who is applying for Engineering got their likely letter?

I didn't get mines, while my friend who is applying to art&science got his just recently. Does school of engineering really give out likely letter? if yes, Damn it...after been rejected once and waitlisted once, I really begin to doubt about my own ability...

P.S. Only if I had known that to be admitted is that difficulty, I wouldn't be slacking off in my senior year and go join a sport, at least to bring my chance up a little...what the hell now...only couple more days to go for all the decisions.

I've applied to engineering and have not received a likely letter. I feel my stats are pretty strong but there are always doubts. I will be happy when this is over.

My sister called me yesterday to tell me that her daughter had received a likely letter from Cornell. She is in engineering.

They give likely letters to like 5% of accepted applicants. I don't understand why everyone freaks out if they don't get one. And yes, they gave them out 4 years ago and some people reported getting them this year so it's safe to assume that yes, engineering gives out likely letters.

I would think that only a few males in engineering would get them.

What is your reasoning, Sakrei?

Well, it is more likely for females to get one since their acceptance rate is much higher than males. Also the applicant stats for engineering are higher than the rest of the colleges, so they have fewer people with high enough stats to receive a likely letter (excluding URM / athlete / etc.) I may be completely wrong but just my 2 cents.

i think thats right

I just got one today :)

This week has been crazy. Rejection from MIT making me feel like **** and now this!

Kinetic what are your stats
