Anyone who made a huge leap in their SAT score?

Did you make a HUGE leap in your SAT score, like 1800 -> 2300, or something close? How did you do it, and how did you practice enough for it? Thanks.

well i went from 2040 to 2310...i just practiced a lot...soon enough, most of the problem types become predictable (especially for math). i know its been said over and over, but really, just by the big blue book by collegeboard and practice every single section. oh the vocab flipbook from kaplan doesnt hurt

what books did you guys use to cause your score to jump this much?

On my PSAT i had a 171 (1710) then on my SAT I had a 2100. Hopefully I'll make the same kind of leap again for next time. I just learned a bunch of new vocab and whatever math they didn't teach me in school. I think the barrons SAT prep books are nice, they are extra extra hard and will probably do the job for you.

I personally have only gotten scores for one test (I got an okay 2040), but I find, from speaking to people, that if you're a low scorer, it's not too difficult to make a significant leap on the order of a standard deviation or so...but when you're already scoring high, there's a chance that you may be at/near your ceiling.

Oh, and the age at which you take it makes a difference as well. For example, a 2000 as a sophomore has much more potential for increase than, say, a 2000 as a junior.

yes it was very odd that the collegeboard said my score would only jump 5 to 10 points, but it jumped over one hundred points after the second sitting....

I went from: 174 10th grade PSAT to 188 11th grade PSAT to 2000 SAT to 2190 SAT.

Just do all the sections in the blue book.
