Anyone who's lived in Warren Towers

If there are any upperclassmen out there who have lived in Warren Towers in the past, I have a few questions.

I’m in Tower C. If i’m in room 10 on a floor, can anyone tell me what my view will be? I’m just curious…I think, if I figured it out right, I’d be looking out onto Tower B.

Do the common rooms on the floors have microwaves in them? Or is there a microwave somewhere in the building that can be used at any time? My roommate and I were wondering if it was really worth it to rent a microfridge…if there’s a microwave elsewhere, we’re not gonna.

Do the closets in all the rooms have the shower curtain-y things in place of doors? When I stayed in Rich Hall for orientation, there were the BU curtain things in place of doors. I’m just wondering because I was considering getting a mirror or shoerack that hangs over a closet door. And if there is a curtain-y thing, can it be replaced with one from home? (Again, just curious, wondering if I could have some fun with that)

Are we allowed to put nailholes in the walls? There are a couple things I wanted to bring from home as decorations, but they’d require nailholes, so I didn’t know if I could bring them or if I’d have to stick to the old poster routine.

How is TV reception in the building and do common rooms have TVs in them?

Do people still hook up their dorm phone lines or does everyone really just use cellphones?

OK, so I realize there’s a lot up there, but any help would be really appreciated! I’ve never been up in the dorm area of Warren, so I’m sorta clueless here.

Thanks so much!

First I think you'll actually have a view in 10. the common rooms dont have microwaves, but if you really dont want to rent the microfridge you could always ask a neighbor to use theirs, but theres always the chance that they wont be around when you need them. the closets are curtains, so dont buy anything to hang on doors. the walls are cinderblocks and you're not supposed to deface anything or you get charged, but you might be able to get away with a couple if you wanna take a chance. tv reception is awesome and some common rooms have tvs, it depends on the floor (mine didnt). dont use the dorm lines cuz you actually have to pay a phone bill every month which is dumb. stick with the cell.

You can buy stick up picture hangars.

thanks for the info!
