Anyone WITHOUT scholarship gotten an email or letter yet?

@simple0920 I think it was said in another thread- someone called admission

@x2018x I’m from MA but have applied to 15 school alllllll over the country- none in New England. Clemson was one of my top schools. Heavily considering UOregon at this point. Waiting for uminnesota and my top school which is UDub which is also a huge stretch for me. If I get into NC state at this point I’ll probably decide between there and Oregon.

@jkirsy my mantra is prepare for the worse, hope for the best and have the grace to accept what happens. I have read the thread and understand you are preparing for the worst but there is still that chance of hope. As a mom I so wish we were back to the day when all colleges sent their mail and there was nothing electronic in the notification process. With the mail it was always at home so that was where it was opened. You knew right away by the size of the envelope but still I think it was a better way to do this. Part of why I am not telling my daughter about looking at the Clemson portal right now.

It is great you have other choices too so I know however this ends it will be the way it should. My daughter is also from New England and out of 12 schools only 3 are in NE. One is still pending but the other two are at the bottom of her list so I am pretty sure adventures awaits both of you next year! Best of luck!

We are from New England as well and my son applied to the Nursing school at Clemson, which like every other school is the most difficult major to get into! Most schools have a 5%-20% acceptance rate even when their overall acceptance rate is a lot higher. Bummer for him as he is coming to realize this but most people don’t so they judge him based on where he got in and did not and not his applied for major.
He has several acceptances in NE at good schools and 4! deferrals so we have choices but Clemson was his one “southern” school. Good luck to all!

just fyi, not sure what this means but my son got the message yesterday “unable to determine your acceptance status” then early this morning it said something like “…enter activation code from your acceptance letter”…
and now it is back to “unable to determine your acceptance status”

@mamainspire Really? that’s weird…

@MinnieFan @Momtofourkids
Same boat for us. We are from Mass. My Daughter is Nursing major as well. It’s been a educational journey searching for the right fit.
It’s amazing how tough it is to get into a top school for this major. Eye opening to say the least. We are assuming the worst but I like your approach Minniefan. My D is waitlisted at Umass and Penn State and maybe Clemson? I think Clemson is her 1st choice but she won’t say. She’s a vault;) Waiting on them and UCONN.
I think she’s gonna go to PITT if Clemson is a no.
No complaints on our end. It’s a incredible opportunity but I think she’d LOVE Clemson.
Good luck to all and keep thinking positive until the mail arrives. Fingers crossed for all. To those that appear to be “in” a huge congrats!!!

If you are waitlisted and that is your #1 choice, let them know both verbally (phone call), email and via mail. Worked for my S three years ago.

@ekjersey already did. Good advice. Not much of a chance with Nursing but we still did anyways.
UMASS was only taking 64+/- kids this year. Most only take 150 or so. PITT is my 1st choice but my D is waiting to hear from the rest. She’s in at Ohio State as well. Thanks for the advice

if you dont mind me asking! Are you OOS and what were your S stats?
