Anyone's TAG get approved yet? Oct 15 is earliest date right??

Screen shot of the “other” letter or it doesnt exist.

printscreen button
paste onto microsoft paint
save, show here.

Im skeptical and I will assume their is no other letter until proven otherwise. Only 2 people got the other letter, and neither have posted on here before tonight. Smells like a ■■■■■.

I got denied for Merced, not like I wanted to go there anyway… but lol in case anyone cared.

I agree, a printscreen would be great since very few have said they received it.

I’m probably pointing out the obvious, but just to make sure everyone knows how (and I really want the printscreen) :]

julietxx3 i will be calling the admission office as well tomorrow. What major did you apply under?

I got accepted or got the ambiguous responses from all the UCs…except Merced

Seems like Merceds rejecting everyone LOL

i applied as a communication major.
i will be calling too! lets SEE if they say the same thing… sometimes they give out different information. so lets swap info!

@davidindabible

yeaa, my shiiii is approved:B

Does anyone else think it’s funny that Merced has sent out denials to people who got approved everywhere else? o.o

Yea, if anything, Merced should be accepting everyone

^^ And UC Merced wonders why they have such a poor reputation…

What? Merced rejected people that got into other UCs?

Merced approved me… and so did UCSC. i don’t merced is rejecting everyone, its just the people who got it probably haven’t mentioned anything and the people who didn’t get the TAG probably used merced as a back up school and didn’t do the required classes. i too used it as a back up school though.

^ I agree with you. I got into Merced too. My girlfriend didn’t and she Tagged all the UC’s and got into all of them. It is kinda weird i think she will call Merced tomorrow to find out just for the hell of it!

Well, nobody said they rejected EVERYONE.
I just read in some other threads from people who mentioned it, that Merced rejected them and they got into every other UC, which was odd. Especially because people are saying Merced is a very easy school to get into.

Denied from UCSC.

The slug gods of admissions at UCSC had blessed me with entrance to their campus.
So happy, it’s my first pick!
Go Slugs!!!

Merced sucks.

Anyways, for anyone in the same boat, I informed the representative at UC Davis that I will be changing two courses for next semester. Her response:

If I change these two courses and they rescind my TAG I’ma be SO…ooooooooooo

well, I truly hope this means something good:

Dear Viktoriia,

Thank you for filling out the UC Online Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) for fall 2011. We’re glad
you’re considering UC San Diego for these next few significant years of your life!

First, you’ll need to file your application for admission to the University of California before the end of the
filing period on November 30. Don’t forget to check the 2 boxes you need as a TAG applicant:

1. UC San Diego TAG
2. IGETC

You must check both boxes!

After you submit your UC Application online, we’ll send you an email confirming receipt
and letting you know about next steps.

Second, make sure to complete any remaining requirements for TAG. If you meet all conditions for
TAG, your admission to UC San Diego is guaranteed.

As a transfer student, you’ll want to learn about your major early on and complete as many
lower-division preparation courses as possible before transferring. Learn more about major
preparation on the UC Transfer Admissions site.

Remember the deadline to submit the UC Application is November 30, 2010.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Office of Admissions
UC San Diego

The funny part is that it doesn’t really say anything like "congrats, you’re admitted (even conditionally). It freaking says “thanks for considering our wonderful school?” wth?

anyway, I got an email from UC Davis last Friday with an actual “congrats” greeting, which really shows that I can count on them. Even thou I prefer SD if I have to choose between the two.
So does this email mean I’m in (conditionally, of course)?

@SmartPants

Well…it tells you to not forget to check UC San Diego TAG on your UC app…obviously implying that you’re in. Why would they tell you to check that off if you got rejected?

YESSS, my UCSC TAG got approved :D<3
