A friend got his TAG approval from UCR last Friday. I’m still waiting for mine.

Good luck to everyone

A friend got his TAG approval from UCR last Friday. I’m still waiting for mine.

Good luck to everyone

Seems like UCR TAGs are being sent already, as blkbox and Rosie’s friend got theirs already.
I wonder about UCSC, hmm…
Goldenlilies gave great advice, I’ll follow.

so glad i am not the only one anxiously waiting, been glued to my computer all this week. i suppose this upcoming week is it…i wish everyone good luck if you’re awaiting for your top pick. So far, I haven’t heard anyone getting decisions from UCD, UCSB and UCSD.

if you have… please let us know.

x

^seems like ucsb and ucsd will just let us know if we’re accepted or not next year (when they usually send out decisions).
ucr/ucd are the only ones letting us know a bit earlier i think. not sure about irvine/santa cruz, i didnt apply lol

@redoplease: thanks for the info. dang… that sucks. what’s the point of TAG if they’re just going to kill you with uncertainty?

nevertheless, good luck to those who applied to UCD, UCI and UCSC!

UCM is releasing their decisions early too… incase anyone applied there. lol

so anybody out there who apply for UCSB for TAG;GPA is based on 3.2 GPA on summer 2010 grades to get TAG.i state this because i just got a flyer from a counselor that had this information.

@ ray7863 ur lying right?

No I also saw on their website that it was raised to a 3.2 because of how competitive it has become.

3.2? Wow…
You know, due to the record number of TAGs being sent out this year, more UC’s might head this route by raising the minimum GPA to be achieved/maintained.

Anywho, I’d like to second that good luck to all in here awaiting decisions from their schools of choice

yea… congrats UCR kids. I’m mad at my self for not sending a tag there :l

UCD, UCSC… please end my madness… Im begging you…

I just got an e-mail from UCSB telling me not to forget to apply. Does this mean something or its just their reminder? Either way i am still waiting for UCD and UCSC to release my tag!

@ALVAROAMORIN, yah i got that too. Im guessing its something sent to everyone who filled out tag.

@alvaroamorin: I got the same e-mail, too. They’re just sending it to everyone. Almost gave me a heart attack thinking it was the TAG decision.

Dear UC’s,

You have ruined my weekend. Why did you have to say from Oct 15th by Nov 15th? WHY?! Why couldn’t the site just say on Nov 15th? That would have made my life less stressful. Now, I have to play mindgames and pretend that the UC Tag does not exist.

PS Please pick ME!

XD

i just called irvine and they will not be releasing tag info. we will just find out in march or april

Seriously? What was the point then

I agree with rshie002. What is the point? I wonder if the other UCs are like that, too. I have to take 5 extra classes just for UCD. If UCSD and UCSB approves my TAG I won’t take those classes, BUT if they’re going to be like UCI (not giving a TAG decision until March/April) I have to take those classes just in case?! This bites. So much for a relaxing Spring.

So after searching long and hard, I finally found the (tentative) release dates of TAGs for each campus. If you type in Transfer Admission Guarantee on the Facebook search bar (yes, I found it on Fbook…) you will see when you scroll down the page a post from Ohlone College Transfer Center that looks like this:

FALL 2011 Transfer Admission Guarantee decisions are beginning to come out:

Campus (TAG Decision Released)
Riverside (November 5)
Santa Barbara (November 8)
Irvine (November 10)
Davis (November 12 (a.m.))
Merced (November 12 (p.m.))
San Diego (November 15 (a.m.))
Santa Cruz (November 15 (p.m.))

I hope this helps to calm some of your nerves!

@annashlynn: You’re amazing. Thanks!
