Are there any programs?
I graduated in June, btw. Are there still helpful options?

If you are from a low-income family, you can qualify for fee waivers at most colleges.

Also, sign yourself up for the mailing list on CollegeBoard, colleges may send you free applications.

Really? Like, from the college itself without going through your high school’s counselor?

Thanks! I shall look into it!

Also, if you apply to a few EA schools and are accepted to some you may be able to skip applying to a bunch of schools on your list (schools on your list but whom you do not like as much as your EA schools).

Meh. The school I was going to apply SCEA to (top choice) has a policy such that I cannot apply to other private schools EA simultaneously.
My entire college list is comprised of private schools.

Apply to less schools

If you are applying EA or ED, don’t send out any apps (unless they are required by December 1st for scholarship consideration) until you hear back from that ea/Ed school AND you KNOW with certainty that school is affordable for your family (so you don’t have to wait for the financial aid package or you want to compare and maybe bargain)

Gah. Narrowing down my college list isn’t all that feasible. I need lots of options because my app is weak.

I’ll start figuring out a school to apply to EA…

Oh and that EA has to be your number one choice like as if you were applying ED (since EA is nonbinding)

^Why?

10 char

If your app is weak how do you plan to pay the costs of private colleges? $40k+ when the app fees are a great cost to you? With that being said think realistically what you want to major in and investigate each schools core and your respective major’s curriculum

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using CC

I was hoping to gain an acceptance to a school generous in aid.

Probably unrealistic because of my stats.

I plan to major in Bio, Chem or both.
