Anyway to get into UCSB for fall without applying?

<p>So this is probably the dummest question, but is there any way of getting into UCSB this fall without applying last fall? I applied to Berkeley but thats all because I didn't think I was going to be able to move out of the bay area because of work. I am now able to take a break from work and I am so stupid for not selecting other colleges during the UC application process. I have a 4.0 GPA and meet the requirements for transfer to UCSB.</p>

<p>I am so bummed out that winter transfers are closed. </p>

<p>Is there any chance if I were to go to the admissions office and talk to them personally or is that just a big waste of time? It's pretty much impossible to get into UCSB for 2011 Summer/Fall/Winter without having applied earlier, right?</p>

<p>I guess I just have to hope that I get into Haas. If I dont, I just wasted a year. </p>
