AP Bio or AP Stats?

Hello, I’m a rising junior struggling on last-minute change for my next year’s schedule.
I want to major in some kind of natural sciences (Biology or Chemistry) or engineering (chemical or biological engineering), another reason why I’m so concerned about my junior yr’s schedule.
So as of now my schedule is:

  1. Honors precalculus (highest math track at my school)
  2. AP US History
  3. religion (mandatory cuz I go to a catholic school)
  4. Honors Spanish 3
  5. study hall
  6. AP Lang
  7. Honors chemistry

Well, this wasn’t my original schedule. I originally had AP bio in addition to this but due to schedule conflict I got my study hall instead. So I’m planning on either self-studying AP bio during my 5th period (free period), thinking that time is my own AP Bio class period, or taking AP Stats (a real class, not self-studying) on my 5th period.
For my senior yr I’m thinking of taking AP Physics and AP Calc.
Give me some advice, and thank you in advance!

I’d say take ap stats, and self study bio your senior year.

IMO self studying bio isn’t worth it. intro bio is a really important overview of biology, and you’ll need a real class (not for just the material, but for the labs and discussions) to make it worthwhile. So id say stats this year, bio next. But that’s just my very-unprofessional opinion

I agree with @julianstanley. I heard AP Biology is rewarding when taken in a traditional classroom setting. AP Stats this year, AP Bio next year, my friend.

I agree with what’s been said above. I’ve heard that AP Bio is best taken your senior year.

I have made my final decision to take AP Stats. Thank you guys!
