is it possible to self study for ap bio without taking the course and still take the ap test or do you have to take the course to take the ap test. Also if that was possible, could you just read cliffs ap biology and get a 5 on the ap bio test and 750+ on the sat ii bioloby e/m test. If all i need to get these scores is cliffnotes i wil do it. your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I am taking AP Biology and I am doing very well. I would suggest that you purchase an AP Biology textbook or try to borrow it from somewhere. I am using cliffs and I love it. Although I hardly look at my textbook (it contains a lot of terms that are MORE in depth and unecessary for this course), I know that I should. I am doing well on these tests but I do not want to gain any false confidence for the AP test. So, I would reccomend using MAINLY the ciffs but also the textbook. Enough studying will definately let you score a 5 and 750+. Good Luck!

you can self study a course if you're confident that you can teach yourself all that materal before the test.

just so you know, different books and materials work on people. what worked for someone else may not be suitable for you and just because you get that certain book, it doesn't mean you can get a 5 or 750+. there is no guarantee or "it" formula for doing well on sat ii's... only that you study and learn the material because unlike the sat i's, you can't bs through certain questions.
