Hey guys, which should i choose for next year. My precalc teacher doesnt want to sign me for ap calc even though i have the prerequisite, she's saying just take reg calc and ap stat. In terms of difficulty/which is more interesting - any suggestions on what i should take?

bump bump bump

statistics is much easier to grasp, and calculus is more challenging. you will more likely get credit in college for Calc over Stats because Stats is kind of seen as one of the "easy APs." Go with whichever you think you'll like more. Besides, even if you take Calc and AP stats you can still take the AP Calc test come May.

If I had to chose between which is more interesting, I would chose stats. Its an honors class, no ap offered, but my teacher has a double doctorate, and explains concepts that arent even needed for AP Stats. We learn a lot about mathematical induction and how to construct proofs. However, I doubt other peoples classes are as interesting, so do AP Calc. It looks the best on your resume and its needed for physics. You can always self study stats and take the test, and it is a lot easier to self study than calc. Dont listen to your teacher, do what you want to do.

aright thanx u guys, n e more suggestions out there?
