AP Calc AB

Just a note for those of you coming to engineering next year, if you're in AP Calc AB don't bother taking the AP test. I wasted 80 bucks on it and you can't use it anyway.

Well... I believe that's because the first Calc course for Engineers is Math 191 which is basically AP Calc BC with engineering applications (much harder though). AP Calc AB worth about a half a semester of Math 191...so you haven't earned enough credit hours to count for anything in Engineering. I would still recommend that high school students take the AP test if they took the course though.

what if i took both AB and BC? can you use it?

i doubt you can use it for engineering. plus, people usually place out of the first semester which ends up screwing them over in the end anyway
