Hi guys,
I’m taking Calculus BC next year and I got a 3, which was pretty disappointing but expected.
Can you all list below if you took AB this year, 1) what score you got and 2) how you studied?
I really need some tips - I definitely struggled throughout the class and in the AP exam… I’m taking 4 AP classes next year, so I really would like some tips.
I’m taking:
- AP CALC BC
- AP Bio
- APES
-
Thank you, everyone…

I took one multiple choice practice test and about 6 or 7 FRQ practice tests (although those didn’t really help because the FRQ’s this year were unlike any of the ones before).
If I could do it all over again I’d just focus more on the multiple choice, I think if I took it again I could get a 5, but who cares most colleges give max credit for a 4 and most colleges don’t evaluate ap scores when considering admission.
1)5
2)Teacher gave us a bunch of released MC questions and FRQ’s and I just learned the material.
I got a 5 somehow. I am good at math, but the test was optional at my school bc I’m taking BC next year. My teacher didn’t teach a lot of the stuff and I had no idea what was going on in the test.
1.) I got a 4
2.) My school has a pretty bad reputation and a lot of the teachers don’t really teach the material very well. Especially my AP Calc teacher. There was only one other person in my calc class that passed the exam, but she got a 3. But anyways, I self-studied pretty last minute using the 5 Steps to a 5 book for Calc AB. I took all the practice tests in the book and then reviewed the problems and concepts I got incorrectly. I think I got most of them down, the only ones I think I missed on the exam were the ones that weren’t included in the book to be honest.
