AP Chem after struggling in CP Chem

My daughter has the following classes for Junior year.

Ø AP English

Ø AP Physics 1

Ø Math Analysis

Ø Spanish III Honors

Ø AP US History

Ø 3rd period still open and considering options such as AP Statistics or Digital Photography or free period

Are the above classes rigorous enough?

Her counselor has agreed for my daughter to sign up for AP Chem , if she ends up with at least a C on Algebra II semester one, which she is retaking now at summer school for better grade.

Daughter is very reluctant to do AP Chem as she struggled with CP Chem last year ( she just managed to get a C)and also she seems to be a little a intimidated by the teacher. It is the same teacher that taught CP Chem last year She is not comfortable with his teaching style and very stringent grading . She is serious about pursuing combined BS/MD program and AP chem will help her quite a bit and we are hopeful with some extra help from tutoring she can pull it through. . At the same time we don’t want to push her and set her up for failure. Any thoughts?

She would be able to take chem senior year, no?

No this school offers ap chem only every other year. So this is her only chance
Thanks
