***AP Chemistry Thread 2015-2016***

@1golfer1 I know you probably don’t remember the AP chem test from last year, but do you know if it was kind of similar to the 2013 and 2014 practice tests? I’m only doing those 2 plus 2 PR practice tests for the MC portion, and I don’t know if its enough.

@JuicyMango The general concepts are the same, but each question is unique.

For an additional practice MC, Google “2014 International Practice Exam: Chemistry.”

@1golfer1 Ah thats good :p. The 2014 test is the international practice exam. Is there another one I’m not aware of?

Is it just me or are the PR questions kind of hard? Especially test 2. #26 and #29 are wrong, I think.
I’m just gonna do 2010-2015 FRQs…I hope that’s enough, because I’m freaking out, I really need a 5 because I’m retaking this exam.

If acid base reactions are prominent on this test…gulps

I’ll be taking this test too. It seems like JuicyMango is in every single thread I’m in lol.

@bobthebuilder13 Haha we were in the same SAT thread. How did that go for you?

Is there any good videos or online things?

Recently took a practice test with no studying and was one point off from a 3 so I’m hoping I can pull a 4 tomorrow

Look up “MrGrodskiChemistry practice test”. He goes over a ton of multiple choice questions in detail.

I took a practice test and I got a low 4. I’m not sure how well I’ll do tomorrow though, since I’ll probably take the multiple choice more seriously but I’m not sure how low the curve will be.

@JuicyMango you were in my Math 2 thread too. Last year. SATs went alright. Ended with a 2350 super score.

@bobthebuilder13 Lol that’s a bit more than “alright” :p.

Wow Math 2 was so long ago, completely forgot about that.

whats the kind of score required for a 5? on the mc

for a superscore, 2350 is in the cc user’s “alright range”

@guanlinzhou That depends on what you get on the FRQs. For me, I normally do better on multiple choice than FRQ’s. If you get around a 75% on each, I think you should be fine-- aim for higher though.

@jedegifrad Thank you! That’s actually really helpful.

Can someone look at his videos and find out what year “Practice Test 2” is from? I think its from 2015 but that’s impossible lol.

@JuicyMango Yes, there is a 2015 MC and unique FRQ. It is difficult to find.

@1golfer1 Hm maybe its form B or something because I took AP chem last year, and I dont remember this test.

If anyone is watching the video —> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mn0yzstQDpc
Can you explain #33 in simple terms?

What is the minimum percentage overall in order to get a 5? I keep getting 80%-85% on Barrons MC, but 60%-65% on FRQ section.

Oh, and is Barrons harder than the real thing? Like a lot harder (5-10 percentage points)?
