<p>I can't imagine actually writing the chinese traditional characters. I mean, I can express everything in correct ping ying form, but that's not what they look for, is it?</p>
<p>Anyway, kudos to better Chinese abilities than I have.</p>
<p>You can go for the simplified too, which I find is so much easier.
I suck at writing by hand, but I can read newspaper and novels such with no problem. So the internet based component saved my life because I can just type in a pingyi and I can just pick and choose. But the writing gets really tiresome after lots of prompts. We had to write so much!</p>

<p>btw I overheard some of the college counselors today who will be administering the AP Japanese test tomorrow... dang there are some pretty bad technical difficulties going on</p>
<p>My Spanish exam took five hours to complete: one for the pre-test fill-in, three for the exam, and another one to check the speaking CDs.
The main test that year took seven hours to complete, as they had to redo the entire speaking section one by one because the CDs failed to record.</p>

Needless to say, I think I'll be staying away from ibt as long as humanely possible. It just takes forever. I do not ever intend to stay 6 hours for a test, ever again.</p>

<p>Does anyone know how much this test is going to get curved? I'm assuming the majority of the people who took this are native speakers... so, I'm guessing the curve won't be so great.</p>
<p>Actually I think the curve might be good, b/c everyone was complaining about the FRQ when we were done and they like didn't even finish writing for some of the prompts.</p>
<p>But this just might of course be wishful thinking... lol</p>
