How many and what APs do colleges look for? I want to go into a STEM field and am currently in my Junior year of high school. I'm considering taking AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP US History, AP English, and AP Physics all at the same timethis year in order to increase my chances of acceptance. Does anyone have any advice? And I'm sorry if this has been submitted before. I couldn't find a thread for it.

I think it really depends upon how many AP courses are offered at your school. Plus, it’s however many you can fit in your schedule while still getting good grades–at least, that’s what my high school counselor told me, and I got into where I wanted to be by taking as many as possible. I think you’re on the right track, plus you’ve got all of those science courses, which indicates to admissions officers that you have a serious interest in the science. Whew, I commend you on all of AP sciences, and wish you the best of luck with those classes!

I would be careful about three ap sciences at the same time, given number of labs/homework. Can you sub in ap calc or statistics for one science, saving that one for senior year? Having calc under your belt before physics will help.
