I'm a HS senior considering UGA, and one thing that draws me is its generous AP credit policy. But I can't find anything on their website that says if there's a limit to how much credit you can enter with. Does anyone know if there are any ceilings on AP credit or placement?

I know you can get credit for at least 46 hours. I heard gossip about a student who was getting 90 hours at an invited UGA event. The UGA site has an excellent admission blog you could ask them.

My D had 59 credit hrs ( from AP exams) when she started as a freshman this year. If I recall from the Scholars program we attended there is no limit.

There’s no hard limit. 20-50 hours is common and I know one gal who started with 90.

Word of advice, though: it’s sometimes not a bad idea to decline credit and take easy classes (or also foundational classes, especially in the sciences). I declined 3 AP hours, took a similar class here, and ended up with an A in an interesting class with a great professor.

Ditto jablalf. Also, keep in mind what you want to do after undergrad. For example, some med schools don’t take AP credits in required classes, which means that even though you have credit, you still have to take the class. I would accept all of the credits you have - you can still retake the class even if you have the credit in the computer. I accepted my ap bio credits but still took intro bio.
