AP Credits at A&M

Can anyone tell me whether a 5 on the AP Chem test will count for CHEM 107 and 117? The liturature from A&M states that, with a 4 or 5 on the AP Chem test, the student will get credit for CHEM 101 and 102 (3 hour lecture courses) as well as CHEM 111 and 112 (1 hour labs). But the engineering degree plan requires CHEM 107 and 117.

They are equivalent credit. You will get credit for 107/117.

Thanks. Do you know how it works because at MARS they say you will get credit for 101,102,111 and 112. Are those the courses that stay on the transcript, and then the engineering department just “waives” the Chem 107,117 requirement? Or will the transcript reflect 107/117?

Don’t listen or depend on MARS for details. The advisors are truly all that matter at the university because they pretty much have the ability to do what they want within reason. It will probably count as 107/117 on the transcript.
