AP credits at school of engineering

I heard it is difficult to graduate in 4 years. Can someone coming with a lot of AP credits graduate earlier? How do they apply those credits?

Refer to this for what they take:

Regardless, I would still retake any class necessary for your major, even if you have the AP credit.

Hmm … Why would one want to retake. If say you have a 5 in a AP, would you retake then?

If you use your AP score for the class then you get no units for retaking it. Which means you may have trouble meeting the minimum progress requirements. Credit is automatic, from what I understand; if you report the AP score to ucla then you can’t ask them not to count it.

I was able to waive my calc credit from the AP test and restart. Talk to your counselor during orientation. The school of engineering takes very few AP tests for actual course placement. Calc and English are the main two.
