AP ECONOMICS-OFFICAL THREAD (Macro & micro)

How are you going to prepare? Any good resources you'd like to share?

What do you expect your MC score out of 60 to be? Out of 5?

FRQ predictions?

post it all here!

I hvnt looked at my micro since january… im screwed lol. im gonna do A LOT of PR review!!

I’m kinda screwed

If you know Princeton Review back to back, is that enough for a 5? :)

(I don’t, by the way, but I have it sitting in front of me atm and wonder if it’s worth reading :D)

I’ve heard pton review sux for econ thou

oh god really? in that case I am beyond screwed… what books are good?

Lol. I thought PR was good? I’ll start reading it over the weekend though.
Good thing I took the class but forgot a lot things since December. :/

@govhs - where did you hear that? I heard princeton review was one of the best, and looking through it, it seems quite fine.

I’m taking micro, as well as the macro makeup. I’ve forgotten a lot of my macro, so I plan on tearing through the macro section of PR.

I’m using PR too. I’m not that worried about micro…it’s macro I’m worried about…my teacher just kinda flew through macro because we were initially running behind schedule.

I just don’t like all the formulas and math part of macro.

As for the quality of PR, I have no idea since I’ve never taken the actual exam, but it seems fine. It’s the only macro/micro review book available here and it seems that everyone I know is using PR.

I personally don’t like review books. Im going through each chapter in our textbook (McConnel and Brue 17th edition) and reading the parts i don’t understand/remember. I then plan on taking a practice test for macro/micro and clarifying everything i get wrong. Should be good for a 4 or 5 if im lucky.

Does anyone know the curve for the exam? Like, how many can we get wrong?
I tried searching but didn’t find anything useful

bump for oceanangel…
also im too lazy to read the testbook seriously…haha
so i guess i’ll just do PR and our review packet that our teacher provided us!

princeton review is horrible
5 steps is A LOT better
oh and what is the curve? :P

I think you need about a raw score of 68-70 for a 5.
I have both the PR and 5 steps, almost done with PR and will finish 5 steps before Thursday. The PR give a formula sheet… do they give you that on the actual exam??

No I don’t think we’ll get a formula sheet on the actual exams. It’s actually not a lot of formulas if you think about it. Just some basic ones for macro

That’s not a problem, I just have a feeling I’ll mess something up somewhere is all… Not too worried as it’s very basic Econ and won’t go very in depth like other AP’s do.

I havent really done any major prep for Macro…I have 2 or 3 offiical tests and I think im just going to go over them…last time I got 30/60 AHHHH…

is that a good idea??? I really need a 4 advice please…

I don’t think we get formula sheets, unfortunately. (For the exam I have a formula sheet for I doubt it will be much help anyway. )

I’m using 5 steps. The PR is complete crap. It was good for gov though.

o damnit… All i am reviewing is PR…(I havne’t taken a class either). I also have kaplans seems pretty legit. Anyone know a good way to study for frq’s
