AP economics or AP French

So I am trying to decided between self studying one of these two.
I am not a native French speaker but I’m in a French immersion program in Canada, so I’ve been taking a large number of classes in french since kindergarten. As for economics, since there are two exams and they seem to fairly similar I was hoping I could get them both done this year. I want to take economics since I’m pretty interested in business, and I feel like it wouldn’t be too tedious to self study it. But at the same time I don’t want to “waste” all those years of French. I think I can only handle self studying one of these, so in your opinion, which one should it be?

bump.

In case it wasn’t clear, what I’m asking is which one would be easier to do for me.

I recommend French since it sounds like French will be easier for you. I am studying AP econ now and kind of struggling because I have no basis for economics. It will be great if you can handle both, French and econ, but if you can’t I recommend French,

Well I don’t know your level of French, but I would consider the economics tests some of the easiest AP tests I have taken. They literally reuse the same free response questions but just change the scenario and numbers. And I completely self studied for both economics tests.

Colleges would value French more highly

AP tests are B1/B1+ (intermediate) so if you were in an immersion program they should be a snap requiring little specific prep.
The two econ exams are actually on two different areas of economics: Macro and micro. There’s little overlap, although you can build off the skills of one for the other (in the same way that being good at Ancient History will help you for American History.)
So, in your case, I’d go with French.
In addition, AP French is a “core” AP, whereas AP Econ isn’t, so (bonus) colleges will value it more.
