Ap English Language Curve

Someone please provide me with an outline of what kind of raw score breakdown(MC and essays) that I would need to earn at least a 4 on AP English Language. I'm actually too nervous to call for my scores right now and would feel awesome if some CC users could share anecdotes about how they thought they failed the 2006 AP English Language exam but actually ended up with at least a 4. I'm scared mostly since I tanked my last essay because I only had 15 minutes to write it and am afraid I only got a 3 or a 4 on it. Also, I think I got a 7 on the first essay and probably a 6 on the second essay so considering that my MC score was decent, can anyone venture to guess what I will get on this year's AP Lang exam???

I'm sorry for freaking out but I really want the AP National Scholar award as a junior so I can put it on my college apps.;)

just call...im sure you did fine

i took it without a class and with no prep and i still got a 5
i think the curve is fairly sizable

I need to hear stories of people like leaving all their essays blank and still getting 4's and above to even consider calling this week.;)

I also would like to know...I think I somewhat did badly on the essays.

B-u-m-p!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was just like you, so postive i got a 2, i could have bet money on it, just CALL! i called, and was sweating and got a 4! and in class i was HORRIBLE on the mc practice tests and my writing was all mumbled jumbled and i was so confused! just call and get it over with im sure you did fine! the confident ones always get the surprise

for my last essay i talked about oprah, and if she decided going bald was the new fashion, pretty soon haircare products would lose profit, *** is that! and i talked about athletes in underwear ads....

i thought i failed and i got a 5. just call.

sheesh, you guys are no better than the collageboard, persuading the poor kid to give up 8 dollars to call... shame :/

haha well, i got a 5, but i'm pretty sure i aced multiple choice (you can search my other scores if u care that much) even though i did the money essay wrong....you know the Hazlitt excerpt "critiquing" money that was actually a satire? well, i took it seriously :) dumb me. anyway, got me a 5 so who cares

holy ***** ...

i got a 5!!!!!!

omg...i am shaking right now .. woo-hoo

holy **** I got a 5 too!

jk...I wish. I think I got a 3 though.

seriously evilasiandictator.... i am sure you did fine........ I was really nervous right before I called (i do not have the best track record for AP exams =()......i thought that I got a 3 or a 4 because I felt that the multiple choice was kind of hard ......I liked the FRQ but after looking at CC.....my essay for #2 seemed completely off (i talked about how the whole passage was ironic and satirical, not serious at all).....anyway, it seems like this test got a pretty good curve....
wishing you the best ....hope you get wht u want (5!)

How much does MC count for again? 50%? I think I did well on the mc but not so great on the essays.

Thanks for all the moral support guys!!!! I ended up getting a 4!!!!:) I failed most of my other AP tests though.:(

yay! nice job on english

sorry bout your other scores =( ..... last yr I didnt do to good either

holy ****!!

I called and I got a 2....I am shaking right now...lol...i dont believe this ****

grrr..I got a 3. This is pitiful considering I made 8s and 9s on all but one essay in class during the year and was above 60% on MC.

Does anyone know the grade calculation equation thingy for AP English Language?
