AP English not fulfilling English requirement?

<p>After I entered all my college history and AP test scores, the app said</p>

<p>"Prior to transfer, you need to complete two transferable college courses in English composition (not including English as a second language courses). You reported just the one course listed below.</p>

<p>ENGL V1B - Critical Thinking and Composition Through Literature"</p>

<p>Now as I understand it I can use my AP English credit to fulfill the other required English class. I got 4s on both lang & comp and lit & comp. What's the issue?</p>

<p>There is no issue. The UC application just isn’t smart enough to pick up prerequisites from AP test scores. Actually, it was designed that way deliberately because each campus has its own rules when it comes to AP scores and using them for certain course requirements. So don’t worry about it. I only had one physical college course for my English requirement as well, and I noted in the “Extra Comments” that I was using my AP English Lit score of 4 for my second English course.</p>
