AP Environmental Science grade

So I am a sophomore and I got a B for this grading period for APES. I’m thinking about majoring in geology/environmental science ( I plan on taking earth science next year) but anyways, can I still major in it if I got a B this grading period? I’ve gotten A’s in the previous two grading periods before but now I have an 86%. Others have A’s in the class. (Also this is technically my first AP class)

Of course you can still major in it! However, you have, what, two months left in the semester (give or take)? That’s a lot of time to work to bring that grade up.

Ideally when applying to a tippy top college you want to make sure you’ve got top grades in classes related to your major. That’s the goal. There are plenty of colleges where it won’t matter. Just try your best now and see what you have to work with later on.

so I can still major in something, even if I get a B in the subject? Like if I like the subject but still don’t do as well as others? I like Environmental Science, but also people have said that the teacher isn’t so good and a agree because we do a lot of stuff not related to the AP exam. But anyways, can I be successful if I major in it, even tho I got a B?

Of course you can? Who says you can’t major in a class you got a B in? A B is still a fine grade.
