DISCUSS 10 char

memorize as many random tidbits as possible

I've read Barrons over the past 2 days, and I'm about to take the practice test in the book.

The practice test in Barrons seems a lot more difficult than the questions from the actual AP exam (based on the 17 questions I did). Does anyone know how Barron's MC compares to the actual exam?

ahhh! 10 char

For people in the know about this exam is it useful just to memorize as much vocab as possible or should I focus more on coceptual stuff? The practice test from 2003 seems very random with strange percentages and everything.

Haha, I have no idea about this test... and I actually took the class unlike most people. >: (

I hope I do okay, but ... eh. It seems like I am far too general in my FRQ responses (on practices). Grr.

I took the class too... and am far too general on the FRQ's....

Don't memorize tidbits. I really don't think they'll help. Focus on broad concepts, and general theories, etc.

I got 78 percent raw not really studying.. we got a studyguide that covered all the questions on the test but i only looked it over... so my actual grade should be around 70... that should be around 4~5.. i think. I got a 3 on this test in the beginning of the year

Does anybody happen to know the percentage or the whole test required to get a 5?

In my review book it's something like 120/150 (80%) for a 5. But that's after multiplying and subtracting and whatnot.

What book is that? As far as talking about scores goes, Princeton Review is worthless.

Anyone done with it yet?

I just got home from it an hour ago.

It was about 10x easier than Barron's. FR was a joke.

yeah FR was easy. MC was hard, but thats just because i pretty much studied for this AP in 2 nights.

What was funny about the test today was the type of people that were taking the exam. All of the slackers/pot heads take AP environmental at my school and it was definitely apparent today.

The people taking the test with me were the same way. I look up from my test 20 minutes into the Multiple Choice and see half of the class sleeping.

Then again, that's what it has been like at all of my AP tests this year. It must be a southern thing.

FRQ was easy, but i didn't pace myself.. i didn't have any clock that i could look at and all i could count on was "30 minutes left" my test overseer would say every now and then... I wasn't paying attention so I had to write two in 15 min.. that was also because i took time with the first and the third one. I think those are good, but the two that i screwed up with (2nd and 4th one) are kinda bad... especially 2nd one. o_O Its not even that hard! GRR I wish i had more time (most people were done way before me though.. i was the only one who was working so slowly)

I had the biggest distractions during this test.. i was not only half asleep, the school didn't tell us where we were suppose to be for the test. Chem and Enviro were both today so i was lost... (chem was taking the test where all the other AP tests were taking place) so I got to the class 5 min before the test... that wasn't so bad....

BUT

People didn't know we were taking the test in that classroom and walked/knocked every 5 minutes. (oh yeah, phone calls too) I'M NOT EFFIN JOKING. After we got through that after awhile, we had a baseball player send off. Yes, that involved huge drum noises and police sirens. And you know what???????? It rained today so it got canceled. We just endured that FOR EFFIN' NOTHING. I seriously had hard time concentrating. Too bad they don't care about enviro students.. (<- i mean easy class and all but have some respect~!!)

MC was HARD in my opinion. I took the other mock test before and it was so much easier... I think I'll probably get a 2,3, or a 4. I honestly DON'T KNOW. i just know i won't make a five and i probably won't make a one. Again, that might be because I did not study at all for this test (until 1'o clock yesterday and then i fell asleep at 1:30) So i basically only studied for this test for about an hour... (i did a little bit in the morning too so) I spent enviro studying time for AP government so... And plus my teacher's gone on a maternity leave. Nice. (pregnent teachers are the worst kind)

We had construction going on near our room too. We also had to take it in an auditorium (I also had to take Physics and Lit in there too), where the size of the half desk thing was smaller than a piece of paper.

FR=joke (except I couldn't think of a specific name for a marine law...garr)
MC=moderate
I predict a mid 4

lol, those testing conditions really suck. Since I was the only one taking both Psych and Environ Sci, I was in the library conference room with a gigantic test to myself and alone with the proctor. It was eerie but really nice.

MCs had some weird points, and FR was ok. 'cept for the marine law that is.
