AP Euro

I'm about to choose classes for sophomore year. Here is what I am definitely taking next year: Spanish 3, Algebra 2 w/trig, honors chem, yearbook, accelerated english, and basketball. I don't know if I should take AP Euro or modern world history CP (college prep- just a regular level class at my school). Should I take AP Euro? Or will it be too much?

Your schedule seems rather easy, I would take AP Euro if I where you…

It wont’t be too much but warning it is the most awful class ever, at least at my school

Hardest AP at my school. I’m in it now and I’m the only sophomore too. It’s crazy hard and everyone knows it. We only have 6 people in that class…the rest dropped. But this was my first year taking APs and I have 3 other ones. Your schedule seems rather easy. I’m sure you can do it.

As a sophomore currently taking AP Euro, I say go for it, especially since the rest of your schedule seems fairly easy. There is going to be a pretty substantial workload in that class-most likely much more so than your other classes, so if you think it’s going to be too much, then you should hold off on taking it. Otherwise, go for it!

Edit: My AP Euro class is actually pretty terrible, since the teacher is awful and we’re way behind where we should be. Hopefully your experience differs from mine.

Your schedule isn’t too hard. Go for it. It isn’t too hard here. It is extremely boring but ill assume that world history cp would be the same.

Take AP Euro or step up the rest of your classes in rigor.
NOTE: AP Euro will be hell, its going to require you to buckle down and study, but within the context of your study it shouldn’t be that hard.
I’m currently towards the end of my misery this year as a sophomore :)

Take it only if you are interested in history. I would also go over a review book over the summer before taking the class. I took AP world history, APUSH, and euro and found euro to be the hardest because most of the material was completely new to me.

I too am a sophomore taking AP Euro. I don’t consider myself a student who loves history, but the information covered is fairly interesting in its own right. Plus, my teacher is great. If you feel you’d enjoy it, take it. Otherwise, don’t. It’s certainly a lot of work, but I do enjoy it.

I’m worried about my schedule now for next year besides AP euro. From what you guys have said, I guess my schedule is easy and not rigorous by CC standards, but the problem is, I’m taking the hardest academic classes available to me at my school for sophomore year. I know my schedule does not sound hard, but at my school, even if I were not to take euro, I already have an incredibly difficult schedule. Will colleges know what is available at my school so they understand that I did truly challenge myself? I’m worried about this, as my school offers only about 3 honors classes and not very many AP classes…
