AP Euro

I am a freshman who’s moving into sophomore next year. I have a B- in my honors Literature class so I was trying to take AP Euro and regular Literature class next year but my teacher disagreed with me and forced me to take both Honors Literature and AP Euro. I am not sure if that would fit for me or not. I’ve gone into a classroom to take AP Euro lecture from another teacher in school and it kinda didn’t make any sense to me. I am not sure if I can handle AP Euro, Honors Literature. If yes, should I quit my sport activity in school (I play tennis but thinking of playing golf next year).

I guess there are humanities topics in Honors Literature that may help you do well in AP Euro. Are they both full year classes or half year classes?

Full year.

Reading is a major feature of AP Euro. Not just the textbook, but primary source documents… and for a long period of the class they will be written by people in the 1400s-1700s a period where people do not speak/write like we do. That is an area where my students struggle. Vocabulary is also a major issue in understanding documents and questions. So how are your reading and comprehension skills?
