I also really liked the DBQ but I did a terrible job on the Long essay. Some of the multiple choice questions were easy.
Idk I prepped with three books. Crash Course Larry Krieger is the best. I love this years test
Form C was fairly easy. The SA’s were extremely straightforward and the DBQ was the easiest I’ve seen in a while. The MC was typical, few questions that made no sense whatsoever. I did hear however that Form O and M were pretty wack in terms of subject matter.
Had form O. MC kinda hard. SAQ really hard. DBQ, had to take some to recall, but I think I did fine. LEQ wasn’t so hard, but I could’ve done better.
Form O focused a lot more on societal trends and intellectual movements than politics. I do not remember anything from French Revolution or German/Italian unification on that form.
I found the MC about average, SAQ easy except for #1 (I knew nothing about Austria), DBQ very easy, and LEQ hard. IMO, the women one last year seemed easier than this year’s because there was just more to talk about last year.
Also, 2+2=6=5
Makes sense. I had Form O and found it to be quite strange. MC was average, SAQ’s were meh (#4 was easy), DBQ was okay, LEQ’s were weird. Not at all what I expected the test to be about. Definitely a different subject matter than I prepared for.
@kimclan1 omg I was shaking in my chair laughing silently for like a solid minute for that source. CB’s redeemed themselves with that soviet joke.
I will be taking it text year. What was the DBQ and LEQ on this year?
I had form O…
Didn’t think it was crazy hard, the first SAQ was a little difficulty, the others were pretty easy. I didn’t find the DBQ hard but I studied the stuff it was on a lot, I think moreso that some other people. The LEQ was okay, not easy but not crazy difficult. I looked over last year’s test afterwards and the 2016 one was much easier. Hopefully there’ll be a pretty good curve.
I think the French Revolution was briefly mentioned… I was surprised that they didn’t have German/Italian unification- definitely agree that last year’s was probably easier.
@iwishtogotoucla Don’t think we can talk about the FRQ’s specifically yet- we have to wait a bit till they release them.
I honestly thought the LEQ was quite difficult… It wasn’t what I was expecting, and I really did a terrible job on it because I was under so much time pressure to write a plausible response. I was still writing the DBQ when we were advised to move on to the LEQ, and that is why I will probably end up with a 2 or a 3, which is upsetting. Although, I thought the DBQ was quite manageable.
When are the free-response questions going to be released?
They have been released on College Board.
THE FIRST SAQ WAS EXPERIMENTAL YESSS
@putinator Wait what does that mean?
@SlaveTrade1234 means it won’t count. Only three questions count in SAQ.
@ReneRenault That’s great to know! I’m so glad I skipped the experimental one and answered it after finishing the other three so I spent more time on the other ones.
How do you know it was experimental?
@victorian1999 Because the first question on FRQ released wasn’t the one on Form O. It was a different one.
