RIP! That austro-hungarian FRQ was the only one I did well on. I think I’m getting a 4 now ;(
@Batmoose lmao
I had form O.
So can we order FRQ booklets for form O because SAQ 1 was not released online? Will they just not gjve us the SAQs?
Hey everyone, I have a quick question related to the 2nd LEQ: I used Thomas Malthus and Edmund Burke as examples of a continuation of hands-off economy, because they both advocated non-governmental interference related to population growth and wages, respectively, because they believed it would result in a scarcity of supplies available, I compared to Adam Smith and his hands-off laissez-faire policyin the time period before.
Looking into significant differences, I talked about the Industrial Revolution (How in the Continent, Governments were more involved to help modernize), Keynesian Economics(Great Depression), which advocated for govt. spending to stimulate the economy, the Dawes Plan of 1924 (Post WWI) among other evidences to prove that the period of 1850-1950 saw an increased amount of government involvement in order to boost and stimulate the economy. Does this work?
@SlaveTrade1234 I don’t see why not. As long as you had the evidence to back it up and did everything you were supposed to, it looks like a fine essay to me. Did you talk about similarities across the two time spans?
@masquerade98 Yes, I said that hands-off economic intervention was common in both time periods. Thanks for your help!
I’m a mom and have a question for you kids who took APEuro this year. Do you have any idea about what percent of your class got a A? a B? a C? Do you think that it’s about the same (distribution of A-B-C) in all parts of the country? My kid just finished APEuro and had a B going into the last week. Ended up with a C+ and is very discouraged. Should she take APUSH?
@Mom92651 It would be hard to say if the distribution of A, B, C, etc. is uniform throughout the country because each AP Euro class is different; some teachers might grade assessments easier than others. Perhaps, your kid had a very difficult teacher this year, which resulted in the C+. Maybe wait and see how she did on the AP exam (if she took it), and decide based upon that. If your kid got a 3, 4, or 5, then she is probably ready for APUSH. Because the format of the APUSH exam is similar to AP Euro, she may do well next year due to having experience from this year. However, if she has signed up for a difficult course load next year, she could as well choose to not take APUSH if it might result in lower grades in her other classes. Hope that helps!
@Mom92651 I definitely agree with @SlaveTrade1234. My Euro teacher curved all of our tests so that exactly half of the class got an A, and so there was some grade inflation. All my friends and I did fine, but we do know people who had trouble. I actually found APUSH much easier than AP Euro, simply because the APUSH exam is much more straightforward with the multiple choice. Aside from that, the free responses are the same. Did your D think her AP Euro class was easy, or did she have to spend a lot of time studying/doing homework/etc? I’d say the workload is about the same, assuming the teachers teach in a similar way. I would suggest that you either wait for her AP scores or ask if she knows someone who has taken APUSH and can answer some questions.
got a 5
Great job @Tapitennis! I got a 5 too
Woo! 5!
Got a 3!
Had a horrible teacher who skipped over stuff all the time and gave us pointless work. I honestly expected a 2 because I know I completely messed up the DBQ so I’m just glad that I passed at this point.
Congratulations to everyone else who got their score!
