AP exam credit question

If you get a higher score on an AP exam, does it include ALL the college credits for other scores?
For example, if I get a 4 on AP chemistry, the website for the college says I get credit for CHEM 1307, 1308 & 1107, 1108.
But if I get a 3, it says I get credit for CHEM 1305, 1306 & 1105, 1106.
If i get a 4 on the exam, would i also get the credits for if I got a 3 on the exam?
This might be a dumb question lol (I worded this so poorly)

In this example, no.

Which college?

In this example, no, but it is common in such a case that 1307/1107 can replace 1305/1105 and 1308/1108 can replace 1306/1106 when fulfilling requirements. But you need to check the college to be sure, or name it if you want others to help you on it.

The college I’m looking at is Texas Tech. So is it true that if a i get a 4 on the chemistry exam, i won’t get the credits for CHEM 1305, 1306 & 1105, 1106 and CHEM 1307, 1308 & 1107, 1108. I can only get CHEM 1307, 1308 & 1107, 1108

As I said upthread, yes, it is true.

If they gave more credit for a higher score, it would say so, as they state, as an example, for Spanish:

3 - SPAN 1501, 1502
4 - SPAN 1501, 1502, 2301

5 - SPAN 1501, 1502, 2301, 2302

In this example, it looks like if you get a 4 or 5, you get credit for a higher sequence of Chem classes rather than a more basic sequence. I would guess that STEM majors at TTU take the higher sequence and non-STEM the lower sequence. It also looks like that you could request to substitute for the lower sequence if you got a 4 or 5 if you wanted to. But no, you would not get credits for both sequences, nor is there any reason why you would need credits for both.

Looks from the TTU catalog that the 105/106 courses are for non majors, while the 107/108 courses are for science majors. So if you score 3, you get credit for courses that can be used for general education, while if you score 4, you get credit for courses that can be used for science majors (i.e. higher track courses), which also can be used for general education whether or not your major needs them.

I.e. if you get credit for 107/108, there is no need to have credit for 105/106.
